Archaeology and Nature Museum

The Morphou Archaeology and Nature Museum is located in the center of Morphou District in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and has been open to the public since 1979. The museum has two floors; the upper floor houses the archaeology section, where artifacts from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages of the island are exhibited. This section includes findings from the Soli ruins and the Toumba Tou Skouru settlement, as well as artifacts from the Classical, Hellenistic, and Roman periods. Among the museum’s most remarkable pieces are the Statuette of Artemis and the Wreath Shaped Golden Diadem.

On the ground floor, the nature section showcases a variety of stuffed animals representing the fauna of Northern Cyprus. Visitors can see specimens such as foxes, various bird species, fish, turtles, and reptiles in this part of the museum.
