Lusignan House Museum
Lusignan House Museum is a two-story structure that turned into a museum reflecting Cyprus’s ethnographic heritage from past to present. The upper floor comprises five rooms, while the lower floor includes one room and an outdoor area. This layout offers visitors a comprehensive view of the spatial organization of traditional Cypriot domestic life, as well as the social and cultural fabric of the era. Through its ethnographic displays, the museum presents a detailed narrative documenting the island’s historical development, everyday practices, and traditional crafts.
Considered the museum’s most valuable section, the “Bizim Ev (Our Home)” collection provides an in-depth representation of the distinctive features of Cypriot family life. Ranging from traditional household items to utilitarian objects, the collection offers tangible insights into the cultural identity of the community. In this sense, the Lusignan House is not only a historical structure but also an important cultural heritage center that preserves and conveys Cyprus’s cultural continuity and way of life to future generations.
