alparslan Türkeş Museum House
Alparslan Türkeş Museum House, was opened to visitors in 2019 after the restoration of the house where Alparslan Türkeş was born, located within the Walled City of Nicosia. The two-storey structure, preserved in its historical form, serves as an important site reflecting both the traces of Turkish Cypriot culture and the atmosphere of Türkeş’s childhood years. The museum has been carefully arranged to allow visitors to experience the architecture and family life of the period.
Inside the museum, various personal belongings, memorabilia, photographs, and documents shedding light on Alparslan Türkeş’s life are displayed. In addition, original-style furniture and household items used in daily life are presented to visitors. In this sense, the museum not only provides an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Türkeş’s life but also offers a rich perspective on the social and cultural fabric of the era.
